Dan Sobel
Dan brings over 25 years of experience as a consultant, contractor, owner’s representative, and operator across the live entertainment, hospitality, gaming, architecture, and construction industries. His work spans the globe and includes the design and construction of multi-billion-dollar resort properties, theaters, stadiums, arenas, nightclubs, cruise ships, and cultural destinations.
With a foundation in technical theater, Dan’s expertise has supported more than 100 theatrical productions and live events - from Broadway shows to Super Bowl halftime performances and Olympic ceremonies. He launched his career early, rising quickly from concert tour setups and scenery construction to McLaren Engineering in New York. There, he contributed to the design of Cirque du Soleil’s KÀ and participated in the forensic investigation of one of the concert industry’s largest rigging accidents.
He was later hired by Cirque du Soleil as a technical director for their Las Vegas resident shows division, which led to theater construction roles with Marnell Corrao Associates. His unique blend of entertainment and construction management experience led to key positions with firms like Tishman, The Cosmopolitan, and Fontainebleau Resorts, where he worked on behalf of ownership to help shape large-scale entertainment programs.
In 2010, Dan founded Daniel K. Sobel, LLC, continuing to lead the delivery of award-winning theatrical productions, landmark venues, innovative attractions, and high-performance entertainment spaces.
